June 9th Warhammer 40k Event
By · CommentsThis time our monthly 40k event will be played at 1750 points with a twist. You will be bringing 4 lists in total.
The first one will be your primary list at 1250 points +/- 25 points (1225-1275 points). This list must meet the force org. basics, i.e. 2 troops and 1 HQ.
The next three will be your secondary lists at 500 points -/+ 25 points (475-525 points). This list can include upgrades for the units listed in your 1250 list, dedicated transports, and additional units. You are not allowed to add to the unit size of any unit with you 500 point lists.
You and your opponent will look at each other’s primary list and the mission, and then make a decision which of your 3 secondary lists you want to bring to this fight. Once both of you have decided which secondary list to bring to this battle, you and your opponent will look at each others secondary list choice.
The reason for the +/- -/+ is to allow people a few extra points on one set of their lists. If you really need 1255 points on your primary list you can have them, but your secondary lists will then be capped at 495 points. Your primary lists point total, plus any one of your secondary lists total can not exceed 1750 points.
You will be required to bring 5 typed copies of your lists, 1 to turn in when you register, 1 for your use, and 1 for each of your opponents.

Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon Win-a-Box Events on May 19th
By · CommentsOn Saturday May 19th we will be running a Yu-Gi-Oh! win-a-box event. Registration will start at Noon, and the event will begin at 12:30pm. The cost is $11. At 10 players we will be giving away a box of Galactic Overlord, at 15 players we will be giving away a box of Galactic Overlord and a box of Hidden Arsenal 5. AT 20 players we will be giving away 2 boxes of Galactic Overlord and a box of Hidden Arsenal 5, at 25 players we will be giving away 2 boxes of Galactic Overlord and 2 boxes of Hidden Arsenal 5. The more players, the more prizes.
Also on Saturday May 19th we will be running a Pokemon Win-A-Box event. Registration will start at 1pm, and the event will begin at 1:30pm. The cost is $15. At 8 players we will give out 1 box of Black & White Noble Victories, at 16 players it will be 2 boxes of Black & White Noble Victories, at 24 players it will be 3 boxes of Black & White Noble Victories.
Come on down, play some cards, and you may walk away with a box of your favorite game.

Finding us via Google Maps and GPS
By · CommentsIf you would like to find us via Google maps please DO NOT use our address. If you put in our address you will get taken to highway 13 over by highway 77, which isn’t were we are.
Instead put in: “Legion Games, Minnesota 13, Burnsville, MN” – this will bring you to our Google place, which is an accurate pin.
If your GPS doesn’t use a Google based map put in the cross roads of “Highway 13 and Washburn Ave.”

Super Hero Squad TCG Sneak Preview

Event: Super Hero Squad TCG Sealed

Registration @ 2:30pm, Play @ 3pm
We’ve been selected as a test market for the new Marvel Super Hero Squad TCG! Upper Deck is seeking feedback on it’s new game and we are happy to provide a venue for it. Each player gets 2 boosters and an intro deck
(contains 1 deck +1 booster too) to build a 40 card deck out of. Then we will play some games and afterwards please tell us what you think.
Don’t worry if you don’t know how to play: We’ll give a quick tutorial before we get going – it’s very easy to pick up.

One shared force org chart. Each player must field at least one HQ and one troop choice. Special rules and transports do not work cross army (no Genestealers in the Rhino).

Format: Sealed open dueling
Entry: $20
Open Dueling is from 1pm-3pm
Players will receive 5 booster packs of Galactic Overlord to build a deck with which they will duel five other players in the open dueling format.
